Ross Uglem

Ross was raised in Northwood, North Dakota, before moving to Fargo during high school. He won a state championship with Fargo Oak Grove and played collegiately for Concordia College after a year at North Dakota State. He would go on to use his passion for golf as a youth golf instructor and a high school coach, each for more than a decade.

Ross graduated from Concordia in 2011, pursuing passions in sports media and small business ownership in the FM area before developing the idea for GolfNXT in the fall of 2023.

Ross created GolfNXT to grow the game and give people who love it a place to improve and practice their passion year round. He oversees all aspects of the facility and the business with an eye on the future.

Ben was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and moved to the United States for college, where he played golf at Minot State University. He has worked in the golf industry since 2006, gaining experience across several areas of the game. He developed a strong passion for club fitting and found it to be the area where he could make the greatest impact on a golfer’s performance and enjoyment of the game.

Since moving to the Fargo area in 2017, Ben has become one of the most respected and trusted club fitters in the region. With more than 4,000 fittings completed throughout his career, he has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, player-specific recommendations backed by experience and a deep understanding of equipment performance. His passion for the craft and commitment to helping golfers play their best have earned him the trust of players at all skill levels.

At GolfNXT, Ben continues to play an important role in helping golfers find the right equipment to support their game. His goal is to provide every player with a setup that promotes confidence, consistency, and long-term improvement, while making the game more enjoyable and rewarding along the way.

Alan Spriggs

Alan is a Fargo native and was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing golf, hockey, and football. His passion for athletics and performance led him to study how the body moves, adapts, and improves through training. He earned a degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University before returning to the Fargo-Moorhead area, where he worked as a personal trainer with athletes ranging from youth and high school competitors to collegiate and Olympic-level performers.

Over time, Alan’s passion for golf remained a constant and eventually became the focus of his professional work. By combining his understanding of body mechanics, power development, and athletic performance with the demands of the golf swing, he transitioned into golf-specific training.

Now serving as Director of Performance at GolfNXT, Alan oversees the performance department's daily operations, including staffing, individual and group programming, and the continued development of systems to improve golf performance. As a TPI Power Level 3 and TPI Fitness Level 2 Certified professional, he brings a high-level performance approach to helping golfers build stronger, more efficient, and more resilient bodies.

Aaron Melby

Aaron grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, developing a strong athletic foundation through basketball, football, and baseball. Although he did not begin playing competitive golf until his freshman year of high school, the game quickly became a central part of his life. Since then, he has spent seven years working at his local golf course, built a golf-focused social media platform, and remained committed to continuously expanding his knowledge and skill set for the game. He is currently pursuing PGA status as he continues to grow within the golf industry.

In 2020, Aaron discovered that fitness could be a powerful tool not only for improving performance on the golf course, but also for building confidence and long-term physical resilience. What began as a personal transformation became a genuine passion for helping others become stronger, more athletic, and healthier overall. His experience has shaped the way he approaches coaching, with an emphasis on both performance and personal development.

At GolfNXT, Aaron works with golfers through both instruction and performance training. As a TPI Level 2 Fitness Certified coach pursuing PGA status, he combines evidence-based training principles with personal experience to help players build more efficient swings, more capable bodies, and a stronger overall foundation for long-term improvement. His goal is to help every golfer play better, move better, and gain confidence both on and off the course.
